Dip M (Distinction), RHS Certificate in Horticulture Level 2 Capel Manor College (Distinction)
TW1 Gardening was founded in 2014 by Jan Choudhury who has lived in London all her life, and in East Twickenham for over 19 years. Prior to setting up the company, Jan worked at The Palm Centre in Ham. Alongside this she was hired by several well-established local garden businesses to help soft-landscape and maintain mid- to large-sized gardens in west and southwest London. Jan studied horticulture at Capel Manor which has an international reputation for training horticulturalists, arboriculturalists and garden designers. Alumni have gone on to create show gardens at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and to present BBC Gardener’s World amongst many other horticultural achievements.

Kate is also a member of a local beekeeping association and holds a beekeeping certificate. When not taking care of our TW1 gardens, she is responsible for various gardens in Teddington and won a Silver Medal at Gardener’s World Live 2019.

Daniel
Horticulturalist and Soft Landscaper
TW1 Gardening
RHS Diploma in Horticulture, Level 2
BA Hons
Daniel embarked upon his horticultural career in 2016 working in a variety of settings. His first role was maintaining the formal gardens at Pinewood Movie Studios where amongst other things he clipped topiary in the shape of doves in flight. Following this, he worked as Assistant to the Head Gardener at London’s second largest private garden (after Buckingham Palace). He was then hired by Palmbrokers Greenery Hire as Specialist Plantsman, growing and caring for one of the UK’s rarest collections of tropical and exotic plants. Daniel grows vegetables on his own allotment, and when they have been tended to he loves a round of golf and supporting his ‘Mighty Arsenal’.

Tree surgery – we can recommend trained and highly reputable tree surgeons. Tree work may form an essential part of our overall maintenance plan for your garden and is often supervised directly by Jan.
Lawn care – if your lawn is in need of ‘intensive care’ a lawn programme may be recommended. This will be provided either by TW1 Gardening or by a specialist lawn care company who works for several TW1 Gardening clients so we feel confident that the work is of a very high standard.
Hard landscaping – for mid to large scale work on your patio, walls, raised beds, fences and gates including complete redesign of some or all of your garden.
